The meaning behind the name
Meekness is not weakness. In Scripture, meekness is strength under control — power yielded to wisdom and righteousness. A meek protector is not someone looking for a fight. They are someone who has made a decision, rooted in love and conviction, to stand between the people they care about and whatever threatens them.
Safety is not something most of us think about until we have to. But as a pastor who loves the local church and the families within it, I think about it all the time — and I want to help you think about it too, before you ever have to.
Meek Protectors exists to bridge a gap I kept seeing: families who want to protect their homes but don't know where to start, and churches who know they need a security team but find the whole thing overwhelming. Both deserve more than a generic tutorial or a security firm that has never set foot inside a congregation.
I am an experienced pastor who deeply loves the local church, and who has done the hard work of thinking about protection through a pastoral, biblical, and tactical lens.

Who This Is For
You want your family to be safe — at home, in the car, in public, at church. Whether you're thinking through a home defense plan, considering a firearm for the first time, or you've been carrying for years and want to think more seriously about how you would actually respond in a dangerous situation.
You need clear, biblical, practical guidance from someone who understands the weight of that responsibility — and can help you carry it well, with wisdom and conviction.

Meet the Founder
Byron Morales Jr. is a pastor in Orange County, California, a husband, and a father to four boys — and a genuine theology nerd who loves Reformed theology. He holds a Master of Theology from Gateway Seminary and carries that conviction into everything he does.
He also holds a California CCW permit, a California Armed Security certification, and has completed various defensive shooting courses — bringing both the theological depth and the practical preparation that this work requires.

A beginner shooting course for individuals, couples, and families — taught by a pastor who will meet you exactly where you are.

Maybe you walked into a gun store and felt out of place. Maybe a previous instructor made you feel like you had to know everything before you knew anything. Maybe the gear, the language, and the culture felt like a wall between you and something you actually wanted to learn.
Come learn with me. I'll teach you the basics — no intimidating gear, no language that goes over your head, no judgment. Just clear, patient, practical instruction that gets you shooting with confidence and helps you protect the people you love.
